The Company:

A multi-national company in agribusiness based in Abu Dhabi          

The Role:

Manager is expected to coordinate and plan the procurement of various supplies, equipment and inventory needed with the business.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Drive and manage strategic and capital sourcing activities, including identification of sourcing opportunities, completion of category profiles, sourcing strategy development, supplier identification, Request For Proposals (RFP) execution, facilitation of contract negotiations, and execution of contract implementation plan.
  • Coordinate strategic and capital sourcing by implementing and managing category specific, project-based sourcing initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal customers to identify sourcing needs and opportunities. 
  • Develop strategic and capital sourcing strategies, execute sourcing RFPs, and facilitate contract negotiations and implementation plans. 
  • Perform procurement transaction activities related to strategic and capital sourcing initiatives. 
  • Monitor industry trends and applicable commodity/ labor indices. 
  • Design, propose and implement procurement transaction management process. Once in place, maintain the process and continually look for ways to streamline.
  • Monitor commodity indices to ensure current contacts align to market conditions. 
  • Identify new categories of products and participate in product launching
  • Manage and monitor internal compliance with Procurement policies, procedures, strategies, and guidelines on an ongoing basis.
  • Based on research and analysis of leading practices and benchmarks, propose recommendations for the continuous improvement of sourcing strategies. 
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to internal customers with regards to all sourcing needs and activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.    
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term strategic involvement and joint value creation.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

  • Bachelors in Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and management
  • Experience in SAP Ariba
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong and proven communication, negotiation and contract skills
  • Ability to use ERP products
