Company Financial Services- A private equity investment firm based in Dubai.
Job Summary
Assisting in various accounting and financial tasks within the organization and supporting the finance team’s day-to-day operations, contributing to accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
General
- Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations.
- Perform full set of accounts and ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts.
- Prepare payment vouchers & journal entries.
- Processing invoices, expense reports, and other accounts payable transactions.
- Develop and maintain internal control and an effective accounting system.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager on timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash flow.
- Management and other reporting requirements.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Generate customer invoices and assist in accounts receivable collections as needed.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Adhere to accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare the quarterly and yearly audit requirements.
- Assist in preparing the yearly budget and forecast.
- Prepare the quarterly VAT return
- Handling procurement process
Competencies
- Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting in industry conglomerates
- Experience with accounting of properties and capital investments.
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Teamwork/ Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication Skills
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Highly meticulous and attention to detail.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Previous experience working in an investment bank / PE firm / Consultancy an added plus
- Experience in consolidating financials for conglomerates and providing technical advice on complex accounting/IFRS-related issues.
- Strong financial management systems background; experience in implementing best practices.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (excellent command of both languages in speech and writing)
- UAE National Only
Preferred
- CPA /ACCA qualification preferred.
- Work experience in the GCC region.
- Work experience in a publicly listed company.
