Salary Range: Up to AED 20,000 per month (Negotiable based on qualifications, experience & Skill set)
Role Overview
The Company is seeking a driven and detail oriented Junior Commercial Manager to support our high end resort development project in the Maldives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in commercial oversight, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, and managing coordination between the project management team, quantity surveyor, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Project Management Team, Quantity Surveyor, and Consultants on all commercial and contractual matters.
- Review and verify payment recommendations submitted by consultants to ensure they align with contractual obligations and approved project milestones.
- Support in managing cost control, budget tracking, and cash flow forecasting.
- Assist in preparing monthly cost reports, variation assessments, and validating claims from contractors or suppliers.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all commercial correspondence, approvals, and documentation.
- Contribute to the administration of main and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with project and company policies.
- Attend relevant meetings and provide accurate commercial updates and inputs.
- Identify and escalate risks or discrepancies, supporting resolution with commercial insight.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or a related field.
- MRICS qualified (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) – mandatory.
- 3–5 years of experience in a commercial role within the construction or project management industry.
- Must have Experience with high end 5 star hospitality/resort project.
- Familiarity with FIDIC or similar standard contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of cost management tools is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to Maldives project sites and others when necessary.
Preferred Attributes
- Background in project management consultancy environments.
- Understanding of Maldivian construction regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
