Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading architectural projects from concept to completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering designs that combine functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics. This role requires a visionary leader who can manage client expectations, guide project teams, and ensure adherence to quality standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee and lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Design Development: Create and review design concepts, layouts, and technical drawings, ensuring innovative and practical solutions that meet aesthetic, functional, and environmental goals.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, conducting meetings, presenting designs, and addressing feedback to ensure satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including engineers, project managers, and other consultants, to ensure cohesive and integrated project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards, conducting regular reviews and inspections.
- Resource Management: Manage project resources effectively, including budgeting, scheduling, and manpower allocation.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior architects and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
- Sustainability Integration: Promote the use of green building technologies, energy-efficient designs, and sustainable materials in all projects.
- Documentation and Reporting: Oversee the preparation of detailed project documentation, reports, and technical specifications.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- 10+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project management, preferably with an engineering consultancy.
- Licensed/Registered Architect (e.g., AIA, RIBA, or equivalent certification).
- Extensive portfolio showcasing experience in diverse sectors, such as residential, commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
- Proficient in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within deadlines.
