Position                      Sr. Stakeholder Engineer

Location                      Abu-Dhabi

Company                     One of the largest multidisciplinary Engineering Companies specializing in infrastructure, building planning, and construction.

 

Position Overview: The Sr. Stakeholder Engineer will oversee the coordination and communication with relevant authorities, clients, and project partners during construction phase, ensuring all necessary approvals and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) are obtained. The role involves managing relationships with Abu Dhabi government entities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities, regulatory bodies, and project partners.
  • Ensure all statutory approvals, permits, and NOCs related to the construction and design are obtained from relevant authorities.
  • Liaise between the design consultants, contractors, and clients/client representatives to address any remaining design NOCs and coordinate project progress.
  • Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy to maintain clear and effective communication with all parties involved.
  • Attend and coordinate regular meetings with stakeholders, providing frequent project updates and addressing concerns or conflicts proactively.
  • Stay updated on local regulations, codes, and laws affecting infrastructure and building projects, advising project teams accordingly.
  • Manage the submission of project drawings, reports, and other required documentation to authorities.
  • Track and monitor the status of NOC approvals, permits, shop drawings and inspections, ensuring timely compliance with project schedules.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders and provide guidance on regulatory compliance throughout the construction process.

 

Qualifications & Skills Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in stakeholder management particularly in building and infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority requirements for approvals, permits, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Proven experience in building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government entities and regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to manage conflicts, negotiate effectively, and address stakeholder concerns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, including Abu Dhabi building and environmental codes.
