Reporting to:                Head of Communications

Job Location:               Sharjah

Major Functions

Working with the Head of Communications on a day-to-day basis implementing the company’s PR strategy and coordinating with the company’s agency. Managing social media platforms, developing content calendars, posting, and managing interactions. Assist in content creation for internal and external communications. Deliver key communication activities and events.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  Content Development, Editing and Work Processing

  • Developing social media content plans that are consistent with the company’s brand identity.
  • Create engaging content for all platforms including articles, social media posts, newsletters, and blog pieces, ensuring their alignment with organizational needs and objectives
  • Engage with the online community and respond to comments and requests.
  • Analyze web traffic and relevant community metrics.
  • Leads website updates and produces written information to be used in the company’s website as well as project deliverables.
  • Participates in the formation and issuance of media related materials including Print collateral (e.g. brochures, pamphlets, advertisements, editorials and presentations) Online collateral (e.g. website, e-mailers and social media) and Videos (e.g. corporate scripts).
  • Consolidate, formats and edits documents in order to create materials promoting the image and competitive edge of the entire company.
  • Identifies media content requirements and compiles data from different sources and ensures centralizing of all communication to keep the brand image consistent for the Company.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationship with relevant media and marketing vendors and providers.
  • Maintains and exhibits excellent working relationships with all Crescent staff.
  • Conducts regular research and studies on key developments and best practices of managing intellectual properties rights. Researches and designs contemporary content strategies to ensure best organizational practices for the entire company.

Reporting and Communication

  • Reports to the Head of Communication in all issues relating to marketing communication and media content.
  • Interacts and communicates with all departments to understand business objectives and formulates related materials accordingly.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationship with relevant media and marketing vendors and providers.
  • Maintains and exhibits excellent working relationships with all the staff.
  • Continues Development of Position
  • Conducts regular research and studies on key developments and best practices of managing intellectual properties rights. Researches and designs contemporary content strategies to ensure best organizational practices for the entire company.

Working and Other Reporting Relationships

  • Head of Communications – Frequent/Daily
  • Directors and Senior Management – Occasional as required
  • Directors and Senior Management – Occasional as required

Minimum Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required

 Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications or Mass Communications, preferably with professional certification

Minimum Professional Experience Required

  • 2-3 years of professional experience as a Communications Specialist
  • Professional experience with LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram is essential.
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite or similar Social Media Management programs to manage online postings and analysis on different platforms.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics.
  • At least two years of experience managing social media platforms.
