Role: Project Manager
A newly formed development company set up by a prominent UAE based company with investment already secured. Currently breaking ground on first 120 Key five star hotel in the Maldives.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage the construction of our hospitality projects. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all construction activities, including procurement and ensuring the successful execution of projects within budget, schedule, and quality parameters. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver the projects to the highest standards.

The role will be based on site in the Maldives
Working closely with the Project Director and other teams
o Oversee all construction activities for the project, including site preparation, building construction, infrastructure development, and landscaping. Ensure compliance with design requirements, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
o Develop, manage construction budgets, monitor costs, and control expenses.
o Select and manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for construction works. Conduct bidding processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and quality delivery of services and materials.
o Manage and oversee the supervision of the on-site team
o Establish and maintain effective communication with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment of expectations throughout the construction process.
o Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and address construction-related issues promptly to minimize project delays and disruptions.
o Implement quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet speci&ied standards. Conduct regular inspections, coordinate testing procedures, and ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols.
o Promote and enforce adherence to health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices on the construction site. Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
o Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, construction logs, change orders, and other relevant records. Prepare regular status reports for management and stakeholders.
o Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related /field
o Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on resort or hospitality projects. Proven track record of successfully delivering luxury resorts
o Project delivery experience in Maldives is essential
o Strong understanding of resort construction methodologies, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
o Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
o Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, manage contractors, and drive project success. Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
o Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and facilitate collaboration among team members.
o Sound understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis within the context of construction projects.
o Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety on construction sites.
o Flexibility to travel to remote location for extensive period.
