Over the years since opening my recruitment agency, Dawaam (the Arabic meaning of “work”) and being a recruiter I have seen many desperate unemployed candidates come through Dawaam’s doors from all industries and all levels of seniority. What shocks me the most is that a very high percentage of them have really have done very little and some absolutely nothing to find their next job and most just expect it to drop into their laps after a couple of clicks of a mouse button or because of their reputation in their previous job.
